Luke Chapter 10: 21 In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit Who is the One Who reveals Who Jesus is to us. Jesus was seeing His dream come true. He had created us to love His Father and now as His time to fulfill the plan was approaching He was rejoicing as He saw those who would follow Him. 22 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” The Son has an intimate relationship with The Father, they know each other better than anyone else. Have you ever wanted others to know just how amazing the person you love is? This was how Jesus was feeling I think, He wanted others to know all about His Father, He was doing all He could to tell them and to show them what His Father was like. At this point He could see come results of His project. I do not begin to understand the Trinity but it is clear here that The Father has given the Son permission to fulfill His plan. This scripture can be used to say that God Himself decides who gets saved and who does not. I am not sure how all that works but I do know that if we do not have a free choice then the gift of us from Jesus to the Father has little value. It requires a choice, when men make the wrong choice the Father gets angry, when we do not live in a way that honors the Son it makes the Father angry. What is the sin we have to repent from in order to be saved? Is it not the sin of choosing our will over the Fathers will? Regardless of the action it is selfishness, we are our own god. When men do this an anger rises in the Father, all 3 members of the Trinity understand that man cannot endure the anger of The Father. The Father does not even want to look on anyone who puts themselves first. We all do that until we realize we are wrong and we need to put God and His will for us first. Jesus understood that even doing that would not stop His Father’s anger so He offered to allow The Father to take His anger out on Jesus, that is our salvation. Jesus took the Fathers anger in our place. Amazing

Luke Chapter 10 Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two 1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. Jesus sent these people ‘ahead of Him’ they were like John the Baptist in that they were to get the people ready to hear what Jesus had to say. 2 And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. If you ask me the harvest is still plentiful but we do not see our role as laborers in those fields. Somewhere along the line we have gotten it into our heads that it is the pastors responsibility to bring in the harvest and we miss out on the blessing for being a laborer for the Lord. We are not just to go ourselves, we are to encourage others, to teach others how to go, mostly to ask the Lord to put it into others hearts to understand their role in His harvest. According to Eph 2:10 we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God has prepared in advance for us to do. Harvesting is one of those ‘good works’ what a blessing to be part of His work and by doing so give my life meaning. When I am fulfilling the purpose I was created for my life has value.

Many times I have tried to figure out just what Adam and Eve's sin was. Was it pride? Was it disobedience? Satan told them they would be like God if they ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, was he lying? Since God knows all about good and evil but before eating Adam and Eve only knew good did they not become 'like God' in their knowledge? Just a thought! Anyway, what if their sin was that they wanted to be their own God? If we have inherited that sin from them what does that look like? I do love babies but think about it, who is more self centered? They want to be fed, changed, held, rocked, sung to and even left alone without regard to anyone else. Do we not grow up thinking we are in charge of our life? We feel the importance of the decisions about our lives. There was a point in time for me when I realized life is not about me! (hateful moment really!) It's not just that Jesus gave up Heaven for a time to live on earth among humans, He actually became human. It's not just that He suffered the death I deserve for choosing me over God. He suffered the hate of His Father, the One He loves more than anything else. And because He did all that I can know Him and His Father and the Holy Spirit. Shouldn't life be about telling others what God has done for me, not what I have accomplished? I have not accomplished anything that He did not give me the ability to do. Everything I am is because of the One who knit me together in my mother's womb. He designed me to glorify Him. That is one reason I am writing this blog. Others need to hear Who God is. He is Creator, Father, Savior, Comforter, Teacher, the love of my life, my all in all. Praise His Holy Name.

I just really enjoy talking about God and so a dear lady suggested I start blogging about Him and that is what I want to do. I used to think that God had so much love that He just had to create something to love and to love Him. My opinion has changed over the past month or so. Oh, the creation of mankind is all about love but I think it is more about the love the Son has for the Father. I believe in the Trinity, can't even begin to understand it let alone explain it but then isn't that how God is. I don't want a God I can explain. Anyway, back to our creation. Have you ever been so proud of someone you just wanted everybody to know all about them? Since I am a Mom and Granma there are several people in my life that I like to brag about. Well, I think maybe Jesus feels the same way about The Father. So He had a talk with The Father which included input from The Holy Spirit. Jesus wanted to give His Father a gift by creating humans so that we could see just how amazing The Father is. The Holy Spirit might have pointed out that in doing so there would have to be a choice for humans to acknowledge Who God is and how wonderful He is, otherwise it wouldn't mean so much. Hearing this the Father was concerned that He might not be very happy with something that His Son created if they didn't fulfill the purpose they were made for, that might hurt the Son's feeling and make the Father mad. So, since this was a gift the Son wanted to give the Father He realized that a gift has a price so He purposed that He would absorb the Fathers displeasure with mankind. And so they made a plan and creation of mankind began.
