What are you spending you time and energy doing? The Bible clearly tells us: Ephesians 1:3-6 (ESV) 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. We are chosen and predestined, the Bible says it, by faith I believe it! Do I understand it, not at all. Can I explain it, no. Isaiah 55:8-9 (ESV) 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. I have a choice, am I going to spend my time searching out what being predestined means, or am I going to spend my time doing the things He has called me to do? Is a foot soldier more useful if he spends his time trying to figure out what the general’s plan is and why he does what he does or is he more useful if he spends his time learning how to use the weapons he has been given? There is a battle, it is God’s battle. He has chosen to use us. He has provided us with everything we need to win the battle through His power. He has given us all the armor we need, all the weapons we need to glorify Him. As Eph 1: 5 and 6 tells us, we are adopted according to His purpose for His glory. Colossians 1:9-12 (ESV) 9 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. 11 May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. That about say it all…….just saying!
